Michelle Chase combines strategic
planning and aggressive execution to consistently deliver desired results
for her clients. For more than 10 years, Chase has developed
and successfully implemented communications programs for privately-held
and publicly-traded companies spanning technology and consumer
sectors. She has launched new companies, participated in acquisition
and IPO activities, and generated renewed interest for fading businesses.
Prior
to founding Chase Communications, Chase was the director of corporate
communications for Carrier Access, a provider of communications
access technologies, where she was responsible for marketing
communications, public relations and investor relations. She
directed brand positioning, actively participated in earnings
calls and investor road shows, and served as a company spokesperson.
Chase joined Carrier Access after serving as the managing director
of PerkettPR for more than three years. As managing director,
she provided strategic counsel related to corporate, product
and competitive positioning, and executed public relations programs
for clients, such as 8minuteDating.com,
Juniper Networks, nCipher and Salesnet. Chase also played
an integral role in devising and implementing PerkettPR’s
corporate development strategies.
Prior
to PerkettPR, Chase was employed by Unisphere Networks, a Siemens-owned
provider of IP infrastructure. As the public relations manager,
she directed worldwide communications initiatives and managed
PR agencies in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and the
United States. Unisphere was acquired by Juniper Networks in
May 2002.
Chase began her career at Kortenhaus Communications, a consumer-oriented PR firm, and transitioned to the technology field by gaining experience at two of Boston's largest PR agencies, FitzGerald Communications and Schwartz Communications. Chase graduated from the University of Iowa with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in journalism & mass communication and political science, and earned a Master's degree in education from Regis University. She currently serves as the vice president of public relations for the Colorado chapter of the American Marketing Association, and teaches a journalism and mass media course at Metropolitan State College in Denver.
